Türkiye says it aims to increase trade with Turkic states to $60 billion in the medium term and $100 billion in the long term, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced on Monday.
Speaking at the Justice and Development (AK) Party's launch of the Turkic World Vision Document, Erdoğan said, “The integration of energy corridors, logistics lines, and digital infrastructure projects will transform the Turkic world into a rising economic powerhouse on a global scale.”
He highlighted that initiatives in language, history, and art would help preserve cultural ties across Turkic nations.
“Youth programmes, exchange mechanisms, and the establishment of joint academic networks will ensure future generations become better acquainted and maintain long-term relations,” Erdoğan added.
The AK Party’s Turkic World Vision Document also outlines a security approach aimed at strengthening regional peace.
“The will to act together against various threats, particularly in the fight against terrorism, demonstrates the solidarity among Turkic states,” Erdoğan stated.
On the occasion of World Turkic Language Family Day, Erdoğan extended his congratulations to “all our brothers and sisters across the Turkic world and in different corners of the globe with whom we share the same language, the same dreams, and hearts that beat together.”
In early November, UNESCO designated 15 December as World Turkic Language Family Day to promote the common language, culture, and documentary heritage of Turkic-speaking countries.
