Diplomatic representatives from Armenia and Pakistan are actively working on plans to open a Pakistani embassy in Armenia, according to reports from Armenian media outlets.
In response to media inquiries, Armenia’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that the two countries have agreed to exchange diplomatic representatives. This comes after the signing of a joint communiqué, which formalised the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Pakistan.
"By signing the joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Pakistan, the governments of both nations agreed to exchange representatives and offer each other the necessary support to set up diplomatic missions," the Armenian Foreign Ministry stated.
The ministry emphasised that the exchange of representatives would be carried out in accordance with the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and international diplomatic norms.
