Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will join a meeting of Ukraine’s allies, known as the “coalition of the willing,” in London on Friday, French President Emmanuel Macron announced, as Kyiv seeks to strengthen international backing in its fight against Russia.
“On Friday, we will hold a meeting of the coalition of the willing — partly virtual and partly in person — in London, and President Zelenskyy will take part,” Macron told reporters in Slovenia on Monday.
The “coalition of the willing,” formed by France and Britain in February, has been holding talks at various levels for several months to outline potential military contributions to Ukraine and discuss ways to deter future Russian aggression once a lasting ceasefire is in place.
