Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has officially suspended Tehran's cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), following a parliamentary law amid escalating tensions with the United Nations nuclear watchdog after recent military clashes with Israel and the U.S.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian approved a law passed last week by Iran’s parliament to halt cooperation with the IAEA.

This decision comes amid rising tensions between Tehran and the IAEA over monitoring access and transparency, especially following recent military confrontations involving Israel and the U.S.

The 12-day conflict started on 13 June with Israeli airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear sites. Iran responded with missile and drone attacks, while the U.S. conducted strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities.

The hostilities concluded with a U.S.-brokered ceasefire on 24 June.
