Türkiye strengthens security at its border with Iran
Security measures along Türkiye' border with Iran have strengthened. Türkiye’s Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler said it's due to recent developments at between Iran and Israel.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in the Azerbaijani city of Lachin on Wednesday to join celebrations marking Azerbaijan’s Independence Day.
As part of his official visit, Erdogan is set to hold talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to discuss bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and global developments.
A key highlight of the visit will be Erdogan’s participation in the second Türkiye-Azerbaijan-Pakistan trilateral summit, where he will be joined by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The summit aims to deepen cooperation among the three allied nations in areas ranging from regional security to economic development.
President Erdogan will also take part in the inauguration ceremony of the Lachin International Airport, a significant infrastructure project in territories liberated by Azerbaijan.
Accompanied by a high-level delegation — including several ministers, senior presidential advisers, and officials from the ruling party — Erdogan’s visit underscores the strategic partnership between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, as well as their shared commitment to regional connectivity and collaboration.
