Baku hosted the 6th plenary meeting of the UN’s GlobE Network, gathering anti-corruption officials from 92 countries to strengthen global cooperation and chart the network’s next steps.
The 6th plenary meeting of the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network) of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) concluded successfully in Baku on May 22.
The final day featured presentations by UNODC representatives on the establishment of regional GlobE offices, followed by a panel discussion focused on strengthening international cooperation against corruption.
At the closing ceremony, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prosecutor General Nazim Rajabov highlighted the importance of the GlobE Network in fostering global anti-corruption efforts.
Organizers announced that the 7th plenary meeting will be held in Romania, and the 8th in the United Arab Emirates. The Steering Committee also approved two new observer members.
The event brought together officials from over 120 government agencies representing 92 countries. It included more than 100 speeches and over 20 panel discussions.
