On May 10, at around 09:55, Azerbaijani Army positions located near the Chambarak region came under small arms fire from positions held by the Armenian armed forces, according to a statement by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
The ministry reported that Azerbaijani forces responded with what it described as adequate retaliatory measures in the same direction. It further stated that the Azerbaijani Army does not target civilians or civilian infrastructure under any circumstances.
The statement also addressed reports issued by Armenia’s Ministry of Defense, which claimed Azerbaijani forces had fired towards the Khanazakh settlement and caused damage to a residential building. The Azerbaijani side rejected these allegations, describing them as false and aimed at influencing international opinion.
