The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev.
The letter reads:
"Dear Mr. President,
On behalf of the United States, I extend my congratulations to you and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the beautiful Novruz holiday. Novruz is a celebration of peace, flourishing, and renewal for all.
Our countries have a rich history of working together, and I look forward to the wonderful opportunities we can achieve in the coming years. I value Azerbaijan's support for our partner Israel and its friendship with it, and I commend the steps your country and Armenia have taken to bring peace to the region.
As our countries move rapidly toward success, I eagerly look forward to working with you. The United States remains an unwavering supporter of Azerbaijan's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity."
