Russia ready to support Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty signing
Russia has expressed its readiness to support the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia to ensure regional stability and security.
Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan signed a Comprehensive Program to mark 30 years of diplomatic ties, strengthening cooperation in politics, trade, energy, and regional security.
Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have signed a Comprehensive Program of Events to commemorate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, according to the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Azerbaijan.
The agreement was formalized during a meeting between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Uzbek counterpart, Bakhtiyor Saidov, in Ankara. Both officials were in the Turkish capital to attend the 2nd trilateral ministerial meeting of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan.
Discussions during the meeting covered key areas of bilateral cooperation, including politics, trade, energy, transport, and communications. Regional and international security issues were also addressed.
The ministers explored opportunities for collaboration within international and regional organizations such as the Organization of Turkic States, the UN, the OIC, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Economic Cooperation Organization, and CICA.
Minister Bayramov also briefed Saidov on Azerbaijan’s peace initiatives, outlining challenges and threats to sustainable peacebuilding in the region.
