The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity, also known as the Zangezur Corridor, is a major regional infrastructure initiative aimed at linking mainland Azerbaijan with its Nakhchivan exclave through Armenia’s Syunik, or Zangezur, region.
The project was formally launched on 8 August, 2025, in Washington, through a declaration signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, alongside U.S. President Donald Trump.
TRIPP is intended to serve both as a peace-building mechanism and a strategic logistics corridor. Plans include the construction of new railways and roads, as well as oil and gas pipelines, fibre-optic networks and electricity transmission lines.
The broader goal of the initiative is to integrate South Caucasus countries into the so-called Middle Corridor trade route linking Europe and Asia, with the aim of boosting regional transit capacity, trade flows and economic diversification.
