Sergey Markov shared his thoughts while attending the Shusha Global Media Forum on “Digital Pathways: Strengthening Information and Media Resilience in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.”
He expressed anticipation for a constructive dialogue with President Ilham Aliyev and highlighted the forum as a unique platform for global media representatives to exchange ideas.
Markov emphasized that many participants are presenting interesting ideas at the forum. He recalled a compelling question raised at a recent event: “Which social media platforms do you use most?” and noted, “In Russia, we primarily use Telegram channels. I was surprised to learn that 70% of journalists and experts from various countries also rely on Telegram.”
Regarding artificial intelligence, Markov noted Russia’s lag behind the U.S. and China but stressed that the future of AI hinges on the development of extensive 'big data.'
While he claims he can swiftly detect AI-generated text, he remains optimistic about the technology’s vast potential.
