The 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum has officially opened under the theme “Digital Pathways: Strengthening Information and Media Resilience in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.”
This year’s edition is hosted in both Shusha and Khankendi, and runs from July 19 to 21.
International guests arrived through Fuzuli International Airport ahead of the event. The forum brings together around 140 foreign participants from 52 countries. Among them are representatives from more than 30 major news agencies, 7 international organisations, and nearly 80 global media outlets.
Alongside international delegates, Azerbaijani media professionals, experts, and government officials are also in attendance.
The forum aims to foster dialogue on digital transformation, global information cooperation, and the future of journalism in the age of AI. It provides a platform to discuss media sustainability and build cross-border partnerships.
Following the opening ceremony, the programme continues with panel sessions. Delegates are also scheduled to visit the city of Lachin and the Aghdam district during the event.
