Following the announcement of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, U.N. nuclear chief Rafael Grossi has reached out to Tehran, urging renewed cooperation on its nuclear program.
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi said on Tuesday that he had contacted Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi to propose a meeting aimed at advancing diplomatic dialogue. Grossi emphasized that renewed cooperation between Iran and the U.N. nuclear watchdog could pave the way for resolving the longstanding dispute over Tehran’s nuclear activities.
In a post on X, Grossi stressed that diplomacy remains possible if Iran resumes collaboration with the agency. Iran has consistently denied pursuing nuclear weapons.
