A senior Hamas official has said the group will release on Saturday the six remaining hostages who are alive within the first phase of the Gaza hostage deal. In addition, four bodies will be handed over on Thursday.
Senior Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya said that remains of Shiri Bibas and her two young sons, Ariel and Kfir, would be handed over, as well.
"Hamas has decided to hand over the bodies of four hostages, including members of the Bibas family, on Thursday. In return, we expect Israel to release our people from prison, as stated in the agreement. On Saturday, we will release the remaining six hostages as part of the prisoner swap deal," - he said.
The six to be released on Saturday are the last living hostages to be freed under the first phase of the ceasefire in Gaza.
