Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a phone conversation on Thursday (24 June), exchanging views on a broad range of bilateral and international issues.
During the call, the two top diplomats discussed key aspects of the growing partnership between Turkmenistan and the United States across political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
They agreed to meet in the near future and hold the next round of annual bilateral consultations aimed at advancing strategic cooperation.
The ministers also addressed regional and international developments of mutual concern, with particular attention given to the evolving situation in the Middle East.
Both sides reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s consistent policy of neutrality, emphasizing its wide support in the international community and its strong commitment to preventive diplomacy and peaceful solutions to global challenges.
The conversation also focused on shaping a forward-looking strategy for further U.S.-Turkmenistan cooperation across multiple sectors.
