A series of new appointments and reassignments have been made within the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, according to a statement by Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov.
Bekzod Mavlonov has been appointed Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan. In light of this new role, he has been relieved of his previous position as Advisor to the President on Legal Expertise and Comprehensive Analysis. Mavlonov has held several senior positions in the past, including Head of the Department of Legal Expertise and Comprehensive Analysis, Deputy State Advisor, and Deputy Prosecutor General.
Aziz Magrupov has been appointed Advisor to the President on Foreign Investments. He had served as the President’s Assistant since 2018 and was released from that role in connection with his new assignment.
As previously announced, Saida Mirziyoyeva, former Assistant to the President, has been appointed to the newly established position of Head of the Presidential Administration.
Additionally, Komil Allamjonov has been appointed as an Independent Advisor to Saida Mirziyoyeva. He will serve in a voluntary capacity, offering strategic guidance on key issues such as innovation-driven economic development, investment promotion, freedom of speech, and support for independent media.
The same presidential decree includes the dismissal of several officials from their positions within the Presidential Administration:
Saidlaziz Saidkarimov has been relieved of his role as Head of the Inspection Department, due to reassignment.
Utkirjon Kodirov, formerly Head of the Department for Regional Engagement and Analytical Materials, has also been dismissed.
Jahongir Ibragimov has been released from his post as Deputy Head of the Department for Planning and Information Support under the same grounds.
