“We sincerely appreciate the achieved level of comprehensive strategic partnership based on mutual respect, equality and good neighborliness,” - said Kyrgyz President as his press service reported.
Sadyr Japarov highlighted China as a key investment partner for Kyrgyzstan and welcomed the commencement of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction.
Xi Jinping expressed China’s readiness to deepen cooperation with Kyrgyzstan by expanding trade and investment, strengthening financial ties, improving connectivity, and advancing the high-quality construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.
Xi also called for fostering new growth areas in clean energy, green minerals, and artificial intelligence, enhancing cultural, tourism, education, and health exchanges, and implementing more people-centered projects.
Highlighting that both countries benefit from economic globalization, he stressed the importance of jointly opposing unilateralism, protecting the international economic and trade order, and promoting a fairer global governance system.
Regarding the upcoming rotating presidencies and summits of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Xi affirmed China’s commitment to work with Kyrgyzstan to support each other and promote the SCO’s development.

The collective-defence agreement between Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signals that regional powers no longer want to rely solely on external security guarantees. Whether it becomes a stabilising deterrent or another axis of rivalry remains unresolved.
Shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remains limited on Thursday, with no increase in vessel crossings as U.S.-Iran talks to resolve the conflict remained stalled. Nine commodity vessels transited the key waterway on Wednesday, unchanged from the previous day, according to Kpler data.
Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has slowed, according to the latest data, as uncertainty over the waterway’s reopening kept most shipowners away. Six commodity vessels crossed the strait on Tuesday, down from nine the day before and below the 10-day daily average of 11.
Iran has said the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the U.S. fulfils the terms of an interim deal, including lifting the maritime blockade and sanctions and releasing Iran’s frozen assets.
