Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni adopted a joint statement to expand their strategic partnership following talks held on Friday in Astana.
During Italian Prime Minister’s official visit to Astana, Kazakhstan and Italy signed a series of key bilateral agreements aimed at strengthening their strategic partnership across various sectors.

Agreement on the Readmission of Persons between the governments of Kazakhstan and Italy;
Joint Statement on Cooperation in the Field of Critical Resources and Critical Raw Materials between Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Construction, Italy’s Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, and the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security of Italy;
Memorandum of Cooperation between Kazakhstan’s sovereign wealth fund Samruk-Kazyna and Italy’s Maire Tecnimont;
Cooperation Agreement between Samruk-Kazyna and Italian company Ansaldo;
Memorandum on the Implementation of Cooperation Programs to address water challenges through knowledge-sharing and best practices in water management, between Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation and Italy’s OICE;
Joint Declaration among the Development Bank of Kazakhstan, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti S.p.A., and SACE S.p.A.;
Memorandum of Mutual Understanding between Samruk-Energo and SACE S.p.A.;
Memorandum of Cooperation between Kazakh Invest and the Italian Trade Agency.
