During Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov’s official visit to Germany, the two nations signed a series of agreements aimed at deepening cooperation across various fields. The accords span energy, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and environmental initiatives, underscoring the growing partnership between the countries.
Key agreements include an investment deal involving Kyrgyzstan’s Cabinet of Ministers and several companies to develop a floating solar power plant, as well as memorandums focused on education and workforce development with German organizations such as telc gGmbH and the Bavarian State Chancellery. The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan established a partnership with the University of Lübeck, and agreements were reached on climate and environmental research with Germany’s Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and the Independent Research Institute for Environmental Protection.
Other notable developments include a Power Purchase Agreement, collaborations on agricultural quality standards, and plans to organize the Destination Forum in Kyrgyzstan in 2025 in partnership with the German Travel Association. Additionally, cooperation agreements were signed between Kyrgyz and German universities, alongside initiatives to promote smart home technology manufacturing and train operators.
These wide-ranging agreements reflect a shared commitment to innovation, sustainable development, and fostering economic growth, marking a significant step in Kyrgyzstan-Germany relations.
