The leaders of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan will convene for the inaugural summit in Khujand on March 31, said Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baysalov.

"The inaugural summit will represent a significant milestone in strengthening regional cooperation," - stated Baysalov at the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

Khujand is the second largest city of Tajikistan located on the border with Uzbekistan and one of the most ancient cities of Central Asia, laying along the great Silk Road from China to Europe.

Baysalov also highlighted the final agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the delimitation of the state border, calling it "a historic triumph of diplomacy and political will."

"We have proven that even the most complex issues can be resolved through dialogue, mutual respect, and trust for the sake of peace and stability in the region," he emphasized.

On February 21, 2025, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan signed the final protocol on the delimitation of the 970-kilometer border. Two years ago, similar agreement was signed between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

On January 8, 2025, the prime ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan held a trilateral meeting to strengthen cooperation in trade, logistics, and water and energy resources, as well as to expand cultural and humanitarian ties.
