Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Sunday warned that U.S. and Israeli-linked universities in West Asia are “legitimate targets,” in retaliation for attacks on Iranian universities.
The IRGC accused the U.S. and Israel of repeatedly bombing Iranian universities, including the Iran University of Science and Technology in Tehran, in a statement carried by the semi-official Fars News Agency,
“From now on, all universities of the occupying entity [Israel] and American universities in West Asia will be considered legitimate targets," it said.
The IRGC warned staff and students at so-called U.S.-linked universities in the region, as well as nearby residents, to stay at least one kilometer away from the institutions for their safety.
Two ships headed to India carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) have passed through the Strait of Hormuz, the Indian Government said on Sunday.
The carriers, BW Tyr and BW Elm, are expected to arrive in Mumbai on 31 March and New Mangalore on 1 April respectively, the Petroleum Ministry said in a statement.
