A new London exhibition invites visitors into the vibrant world of late Italian designer Gianni Versace, showcasing over 450 iconic pieces worn by celebrities and models alike.

Opening on 16 July at Arches London Bridge, the 'Gianni Versace Retrospective' offers a deep dive into the creative legacy of Gianni Versace, featuring more than 450 garments spanning his career from the 1980s until his death in 1997.

The exhibition highlights a special British section with outfits worn by stars such as Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Elton John, and Princess Diana.

"It's an assembly of collectors from around Europe who have come together and contributed their items to put on display with a specific story telling around London and all the celebs that go with it” said venue director Liz Koravos.

Versace, born in 1946 in southern Italy, launched his label in Milan in 1978 and quickly became famous for his bold, colorful, and sensual designs, including the iconic Medusa logo. His work was embraced by celebrities and the wealthy, defining a new era in fashion.

Exhibition co-curator Karl von der Ahe emphasized Versace’s collections were full of surprises, combining innovation and current trends, with the exhibition set to run through March.
