Kazakhstan has emerged as Azerbaijan’s top grain supplier, as trade between the two countries surged 20% in early 2025, reaching historic highs.
Kazakhstan exported 450,000 tons of grain worth $95 million to Azerbaijan from January to May, an 86% jump year-on-year. Kazakh wheat made up 88% of Azerbaijan’s total wheat imports during this period.
At a business meeting in Baku, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel invited Azerbaijani companies to invest in Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial sector, emphasizing opportunities in agricultural processing and investment collaboration.
