Azerbaijan and Czech Republic strengthen political ties

Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic held regular political consultations in Prague, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry announced.

The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, while Deputy Foreign Minister Jan Marian headed the Czech delegation.

The talks focused on strengthening political ties, with both sides highlighting the importance of mutual visits and contacts during international events to maintain ongoing dialogue.

Economic cooperation was also discussed, including ways to boost bilateral trade and collaborate on projects in energy, transport, and high technology. Azerbaijan’s strategic role in major transport initiatives was especially praised.

The meeting included detailed updates on the regional situation after the conflict, progress on normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, and challenges slowing this process.

During his visit, Fariz Rzayev also held several bilateral meetings and participated in roundtables with experts from leading research and analytical centers.
