McLaren's Australian driver Oscar Piastri won the Spanish Grand Prix, marking his fifth victory of the 2025 Formula 1 season.

The race was held over 66 laps at the 4.65 km Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit, with Piastri finishing in 1 hour, 32 minutes, 57.375 seconds.

His teammate, Lando Norris of Great Britain, finished 2.471 seconds behind, while Charles Leclerc of Ferrari took third, 10.455 seconds behind the leader.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, the reigning champion, was handed a 10-second time penalty following a collision with Mercedes’ George Russell, dropping him to 10th place.

Alex Albon (Williams) and Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) were forced to retire from the race.

The next race on the calendar is the Canadian Grand Prix, scheduled for 15 June.
