North Korea conducted joint tactical drills involving special operations and tank units, with leader Kim Jong Un overseeing the exercises aimed at improving combat readiness and effectiveness.

North Korea's military carried out combined tactical drills on Tuesday to enhance combat effectiveness, state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Wednesday.

The exercises featured special operations sub-units and tank units in a joint fire strike demonstration and tactical training aimed at meeting the standard of an “all-purpose battalion,” according to KCNA.

Leader Kim Jong Un attended the drills alongside Defense Minister No Kwang Chol and other senior military officials. The demonstrations reportedly captured significant attention from observers.

Kim praised the drills and said they were designed to improve the efficiency and performance of the country’s armed forces and weapons systems.

“Our revolutionary armed forces are now in charge of not a few fronts, but the most important among them is the anti-imperialist class front,” Kim stated. “Making full preparations for war is the most crucial task.”

He stressed that ensuring the army is fully prepared to execute any command is the primary revolutionary mission.
