Bayraktar TB3 achieves a historic milestone, successfully completing take-offs and landings on TCG Anadolu without landing support equipment.
Bayraktar TB3 unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV), which made history as the first drone to take off and land on a short-deck vessel, is making significant progress in its shipboard testing.
During its second flight test aboard the TCG Anadolu, cruising near Çanakkale, the indigenously developed UCAV performed two successful takeoffs and landings without relying on landing support equipment. The Bayraktar TB3 navigated the test parameters flawlessly, operating at an average altitude of 20,000 feet.
The UCAV reached another milestone on November 19, completing a successful short-deck takeoff from the TCG Anadolu’s 12-degree inclined ramp after undergoing ramp tests in Keşan and approach trials at sea.
In a landmark 46-minute flight over the Aegean and Mediterranean junction, the Bayraktar TB3 demonstrated its precision by landing on the vessel's short deck without any assistance.
Bayraktar TB3 has logged 828 hours and 57 minutes of flight time across its various test flights, underscoring its capabilities and readiness for future operations.
