Uzbekistan and the Philippines are working to boost bilateral investment cooperation, with a focus on key sectors such as ICT, electrical engineering, transport, geology, and textiles.
Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, met with Roberto Monalo, Ambassador of the Philippines to Uzbekistan, to discuss expanding economic collaboration, TurkicWorld reported, citing the Uzbek Ministry.
During the meeting, held in Tehran, Ambassador Monalo praised Uzbekistan’s favorable investment climate and the supportive conditions created for foreign investors. Both sides explored opportunities to deepen cooperation, particularly in sectors identified as strategic for mutual growth.
The parties also discussed strategies to attract Philippine investors to Uzbekistan. A key initiative is the organization of a joint business forum that will connect the business communities of both countries. The forum is scheduled to take place in Manila during the next round of political dialogue in the fourth quarter of this year.
The meeting marks a pivotal step in strengthening economic ties and building sustainable investment partnerships between Uzbekistan and the Philippines.
