Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is set to begin an official visit to Türkiye on April 22, where he will hold extensive discussions with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on enhancing bilateral relations and exchanging views on regional and global developments.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit will further solidify the strong ties between the two countries, which share a deep-rooted history of cooperation and mutual respect. As long-standing allies and strategic partners, Pakistan and Türkiye have maintained regular high-level exchanges, reflecting their exceptional relationship.
The two nations also have established leadership-level mechanisms, including the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC), to foster coordination on a wide range of issues. The 7th session of the HLSCC, co-chaired by President Erdogan and Prime Minister Sharif, was held in Islamabad earlier this year, marking the continued strength of their partnership.
The upcoming visit is seen as a continuation of this robust dialogue, emphasizing both countries' commitment to further elevate their multifaceted cooperation. The discussions are expected to focus on deepening collaboration across various sectors, including trade, defense, and regional security.
