The powerful storm system brought flash floods, heavy rainfall, and strong winds to areas across Oklahoma and Texas. Flood warnings were issued across Oklahoma, signaling ongoing or imminent flooding.
Authorities reported road disruptions and dozens of high-water incidents. They urged residents to stay home and said they responded to more than a dozen emergency calls from people trapped in vehicles by rising water.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for parts of Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Oklahoma as storms moved across the region.
