Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticised the international system for its inability to cope with today’s global crises and challenges, speaking at the official opening of the IV Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
At the launch of the IV Antalya Diplomacy Forum, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared that the current international system is faltering under the weight of ongoing crises. "We are witnessing that while humanity adapts to technological innovations, the international system is unable to overcome crises," he said.
Erdogan praised the forum’s growing reputation, describing it as a “global brand in the field of diplomacy” and a vital platform for promoting dialogue over confrontation. “Here we show that we stand for dialogue instead of conflicts, for a fair approach instead of a show of force. The heart of global diplomacy will beat in Antalya for three days,” he added.
Addressing regional issues, Erdogan emphasized Türkiye’s proactive role in seeking stability. “We are not a country that remains on the sidelines of problems. Historically, Türkiye has been surrounded by imperialist games and tensions. We not only live in this region, it belongs to us. We have lived here for a thousand years and will continue to live here,” he asserted.
Erdogan’s remarks highlight Türkiye’s ambition to position itself at the center of diplomatic efforts in an increasingly unstable global environment.
