A bus overturned in southern Mexico on Monday morning, killing 11 people and injuring at least 12 others, authorities in Oaxaca said.
The accident occurred near Santo Domingo Narro, and officials are still investigating the cause, according to a state government statement.
Oaxaca Governor Salomon Jara expressed condolences to the victims' families, pledging support and assistance.
State Interior Minister Jesus Romero said the bus was carrying over 40 people, traveling toward the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. Initial reports suggest passengers were returning home after attending a political rally in Mexico City held by President Claudia Sheinbaum on Sunday.
Authorities have not yet determined whether weather, road conditions, or driver error contributed to the crash.
