Russia and Ukraine exchanged attacks overnight. Two people were killed in strikes on Kyiv, Ukrainian officials said. Meanwhile, drones hit civilian infrastructure in Russia's southwestern Saratov region, Governor Roman Busargin said.
Two people have been killed and seven injured in attacks on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, officials have said. Earlier, Kyiv's Mayor Vitali Klitschko said six people had been injured.
Russian strikes on Kyiv injured at least six people overnight with three of them receiving treatment in hospital, the Ukrainian capital's Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said in a post on Telegram.
Klitschko added that a fire had broken out at an educational establishment in the capital's southwestern Holosiivs'kyi district, as a result of the strikes. Fires were also reported in other areas of the city, he said.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian drones hit Russia's southwestern Saratov region, damaging civilian infrastructure, the region's Governor Roman Busargin said on social media app Max, adding that there were casualties.
