The remains of victims who lost their lives in the recent clashes between M23 rebels and Military forces in Bukavu have been buried in a mass grave on Thursday.
According to the Provincial Executive Secretary of the Red Cross Society John Kashinzwe who took part in the exercise, they were informed about the bodies scattered in parts of the community by its members and the local authority in the area.
“We were alerted that there were bodies scattered here and there, with no family to collect them and bury them.”
The Red Cross society also said that some of the bodies were difficult to identify but confirmed that some of the victims involved were children,
