Azerbaijan has sent another batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, consisting of electrical equipment vital for restoring the country’s energy infrastructure and preparing for the winter season.
The humanitarian assistance was provided by the Ministry of Energy in accordance with a decree signed by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on 21 September 2026.
The humanitarian cargo, prepared in response to a request from Ukraine, includes cables, wires, transformers, and other electrical equipment with a total value of 2.5 million manats.
The aid was dispatched from the Sumgayit Technology Park (STP) on 7 October.
“Azerbaijan today sent another package of electrical equipment to Ukraine that is vital for preparations for the winter season,” Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev told journalists.
He said the aid is of great importance to the country amid serious damage caused to Ukraine’s energy system as a result of Russian attacks.
Azerbaijan has previously sent humanitarian assistance to Ukraine to support the restoration of electricity supplies - for which Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenskyy expressed his appreciation.
