Russia and Ukraine have exchanged another wave of long-range drone attacks, with both sides reporting casualties and damage to logistics, energy and maritime infrastructure. The latest strikes come as attacks intensify across the Black Sea region.
Russian regional officials said Ukrainian drones struck two warehouses operated by online retailer Wildberries in the Tambov and Moscow regions, killing seven workers and injuring dozens more.
A separate attack reportedly caused a fire at an oil depot in the wider Moscow region, where two people were injured.
Authorities in Russia's Tambov region said drones hit a Wildberries logistics facility in the city of Kotovsk, about 475 kilometres south-east of Moscow.
Seven employees working the night shift were killed, while at least 25 people were injured, according to regional officials.
Another Wildberries facility was struck in Elektrostal, in the Moscow region, where officials reported dozens of injuries and extensive damage.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy later confirmed that Ukrainian forces had targeted logistics facilities in the Moscow and Tambov regions. He said the sites were linked to supplies of components used in Russian drones and navigation systems.
Wildberries has not been publicly identified as a military company, and the claim that the warehouses supported Russian weapons production could not be independently verified.
Drone debris also triggered a fire at an oil storage facility near Moscow, according to Russian officials.
Emergency services were deployed to contain the blaze, while two people were reported injured.
Ukraine has increasingly targeted Russian oil and logistics infrastructure in what Kyiv describes as an effort to disrupt fuel supplies and military production supporting Moscow's invasion.
Russia's Defence Ministry separately released footage that it said showed drones striking a dry cargo vessel docked at the Ukrainian Black Sea port of Chornomorsk in the Odesa region.
Moscow claimed the ship was transporting military supplies intended for the Ukrainian armed forces. The footage showed smoke rising from the vessel after it was hit.
The name, flag and operator of the vessel were not immediately disclosed.
Ukrainian authorities have not commented on Russia's account, and the contents of the ship could not be independently verified.
The attacks come amid an intensification of strikes on Black Sea ports and vessels, a region crucial to Ukraine's agricultural exports and international shipping. Recent hostilities in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov have also contributed to rising global wheat prices.
