The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is conducting inspections in Iran but has not visited the three sites that were bombed by the United States in June, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said Wednesday.

“We are trying to build it back, and we are inspecting in Iran. Not at every site that we should be doing it, but we are gradually coming back. We are not inspecting the stricken sites … we are in discussion with Iran,” Grossi told reporters in New York.

When asked about the agency’s observations, Grossi stated, “We do not see anything that would give rise to the hypothesis of any substantive work going on there.”

He added that while these are large industrial sites with movement and activity, this does not indicate nuclear enrichment or substantive nuclear work.

The IAEA continues to monitor developments closely and is in ongoing discussions with Iranian authorities regarding access and inspections.
