Ebola recoveries in DRC offer hope as suspected cases appear outside Africa
Four nurses and a lab worker treated for Ebola caused by the Bundibugyo strain have recovered in the Democratic Republic of Congo, offering a rare sign of hope amid the outbreak. The number of confirmed Ebola cases in the country has risen to 282, with 42 deaths, after 19 new positive test results were recorded, according to data distributed by the communications ministry.
