U.S. President Donald Trump’s envoy will attend a key aid summit in Rome, just after Trump announced the resumption of weapons shipments to Ukraine.

U.S. President Donald Trump's Ukraine envoy, Keith Kellogg, will attend an international aid conference on Ukraine in Rome on 10–11 July.

The announcement comes a day after Trump said the U.S. would resume weapons deliveries to Kyiv, following a brief pause that Ukrainian officials warned could weaken their defences against intensified Russian attacks.

Diplomatic efforts by Washington to end the war have stalled, with Trump stating that Russian President Vladimir Putin does not appear interested in halting the conflict.

Despite his wavering stance on Ukraine, Trump’s decision to restart arms shipments aligns with Kyiv’s plea for more Patriot missile systems to defend its cities.

The Rome summit will focus on mobilizing international support for Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction. A source cited World Bank estimates saying $590 billion would be needed for Ukraine’s rebuilding efforts.
