Russia’s flag carrier Aeroflot said a failure in its information systems may lead to delays and cancellations across its network. Technicians are working to restore normal operations and limit disruption to passengers.
Aeroflot, Russia’s national airline, announced on Monday that it is experiencing a disruption in its information systems that could affect flight operations. The airline said the issue may result in schedule adjustments, including potential delays and cancellations.
The carrier shared the update via its Telegram channel. “Specialists are currently working to minimise the impact on the flight schedule and to restore normal service operations.” However, it did not specify the scope or cause of the failure.
Despite sanctions and curtailed international routes due to the war in Ukraine, Aeroflot remains among the world’s top 20 carriers by passenger volume.
According to the company, its group served 55.3 million passengers in 2024.
