Direct flights between Moscow and Pyongyang launched

Nordwind Airlines

The Nordwind airline will launch direct flights between Moscow and Pyongyang from 27th July, the Russian Ministry of Transport announced.

"Capitals of Russia and North Korea will be linked by the direct air service first time," the ministry said.

The journey will take approximately eight hours.

Flights will operate once a month to help generate stable demand and ensure sufficient passenger load, the ministry added.

It marks the second direct route between both countries. There are flights three times a week between Vladivostok and Pyongyang.
