Azerbaijan and Bangladesh seek to deepen their bilateral and multilateral ties. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with his Bangladeshi counterpart Touhid Hossain on Sunday at the 51st Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers in Istanbul.
During their meeting, both ministers exchanged views on current Azerbaijan-Bangladesh relations and future cooperation prospects.
They highlighted the importance of high-level contacts, reciprocal visits, inter-institutional collaboration, and political consultations to advance their partnership.
The discussion included expanding cooperation in trade, education, and digital governance, as well as exploring visa waivers for diplomatic and service passport holders. Both sides emphasized the need to enhance engagement between relevant government agencies.
Bayramov and Hossain reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and working together within international organizations. They also addressed regional and global issues of shared interest.
