Azerbaijan and Kenya are expanding ties through dialogue on energy, tech, and diplomacy during Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov’s official visit to Kenya.
During his visit to Kenya, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov was received by President of Kenya, William Samoei Ruto. The two sides highlighted the importance of high-level visits, political dialogue, and inter-agency engagement in advancing bilateral cooperation. They stressed the need to enhance collaboration within international organizations and voiced confidence in strengthening ties across various sectors. Discussions covered cooperation opportunities in the economy, energy, agriculture, education, culture, tourism, and governance.
Azerbaijan emphasized Africa’s growing role in its foreign policy and expressed interest in deepening relations with Kenya and other African nations. They also reviewed Azerbaijan’s preparations for COP29 and explored collaboration within the 2026 World Urban Forum. Other pressing bilateral and global matters were addressed during the meeting.
