During his visit to Azerbaijan on May 25, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha commemorated historical and cultural connections between the two countries by visiting symbolic landmarks in Baku.
On May 25, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha visited several sites of historical and cultural significance in the Azerbaijani capital.
As part of his visit, Sybiha paid respects at the grave of Viktor Seregin, a National Hero of Azerbaijan of Ukrainian descent, located in the Alley of Martyrs. He also laid flowers at Victory Park, underscoring Ukraine’s appreciation for Azerbaijan’s historical sacrifices.
Continuing his tribute, the minister visited the monument to Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko. Sybiha laid a wreath and planted a tree in the park surrounding the monument, symbolizing the enduring friendship and cultural ties between the two countries.
