Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif updated President Aliyev on the recent military strikes by India against Pakistan and the subsequent ceasefire agreement. He expressed deep gratitude for Azerbaijan’s diplomatic and political backing during the crisis, praising it as a reflection of the close brotherly ties between the two countries.

President Ilham Aliyev welcomed the ceasefire and reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s unwavering support and solidarity with the people and government of Pakistan.

The leaders also exchanged views on enhancing cooperation across various sectors during their discussion.
