During an official visit to Baghdad, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov was received by Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported.
The meeting highlighted the growing partnership between the two countries, with both sides expressing satisfaction over the current level of diplomatic and economic relations. Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in trade, energy, investment, tourism, and other areas of mutual interest.
Bayramov and Rashid also emphasized the importance of continued collaboration within multilateral forums such as the United Nations (UN), Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
Additionally, Minister Bayramov shared updates on Azerbaijan’s post-conflict reconstruction efforts and its vision for lasting peace in the region.
The two officials reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties based on shared values, mutual respect, and common goals for regional stability and development.
