Iran's Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, has arrived in Yerevan at the invitation of Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to continue political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
"During our discussions, we reviewed the relations between the two countries over the past year and exchanged views on the prospects for the development of friendly ties. A mutual agreement will soon be reached on high-level exchanges of delegations between the two countries," Araghchi said.
According to the minister, recent events in the South Caucasus were also discussed during the meeting. He reiterated Iran's stance against any changes in international borders and geopolitical shifts.
"This is the stable position of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We believe that all issues in the region should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy, without the use of force," Araghchi added.
