President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Munich on Friday to discuss expanding cooperation between the two countries, officials said. Leaders hold talks on energy, humanitarian aid and bilateral ties.

During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, the leaders reviewed prospects for bilateral relations across a range of sectors, including energy, economic cooperation and humanitarian support.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan for the humanitarian assistance provided to Ukraine, highlighting in particular the attention and care shown to Ukrainian children affected by the conflict.

Both presidents exchanged views on strengthening ties and enhancing partnership frameworks that can support mutual interests in the coming years.
