Türkiye’s premier technology festival, TEKNOFEST, is set to begin next week on 17 September at Istanbul Atatürk Airport. The five-day event is organised by the Turkish Technology Team (T3) Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
Since 2018, the festival has received support from numerous government bodies, private sector partners, and universities, with Anadolu serving as a global communications partner.
TEKNOFEST will feature 58 main and 137 subcategories of competitions. Teams that advance past the preliminary stages will receive financial support exceeding 85 million lira (around $2 million), while winners will be awarded prizes totalling more than 65 million lira ($1.6 million).
Participants from around the world will share knowledge and expertise, contributing to advances in technological development.
The festival offers more than competitions. Visitors will enjoy breathtaking air shows, exhibitions and workshops, immersive simulation areas, a planetarium, trade fairs, and special student flight events, providing a wide array of technological and thrilling experiences.

TEKNOFEST traditionally takes place in different Turkish cities in even-numbered years and in Istanbul in odd-numbered years. The event has also been held in Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Last month, TEKNOFEST’s maritime edition, Blue Homeland, was held in Istanbul. In 2024, the festival in the southern city of Adana attracted around 1.1 million visitors, bringing total attendance to nearly 11 million to date.
