Türkiye and Azerbaijan signed a new agreement on mutual military security during the opening day of the 17th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF) 2025 in Istanbul on Tuesday (22 July).
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Turkish Defence Minister Yaşar Güler and his Azerbaijani counterpart Zakir Hasanov, and aims to deepen cooperation on defence and regional security.
The agreement was inked on the sidelines of the IDEF, which runs for six days across multiple venues, including the Istanbul Fair Center, Atatürk Airport, WOW Hotel, and Ataköy Marina.
IDEF 2025 is organised by KFA Fairs with support from Türkiye’s Defence Industries Secretariat (SSB) and the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation. Anadolu is serving as the event’s global communication partner.
